November 16 - Activity Pool and the Hot Tub will be drained for cleaning. November 17 & 18 - Aquatic Center will be closed for the Team Sopris Swim Meet November 19, 20 & 21 - Aquatic Center will be open all day (7 am - 8 pm) for Thanksgiving Break November 22 & 23 - Aquatic Center is Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday. November 30 - Aquatic Center will be Closed at 1:30 for the Girls High School Swim Meet

Join the Recreation Department over Thanksgiving Break for fun games and activities. Weather permitting we will spend time outside each day - please dress accordingly, and don’t forget your lunch, snack, and water bottle each day. Monday November 19: Climbing wall, swimming, and gym games. Tuesday, November 20: Ice skating, and the Parks – Jailbreak @ Veltus, Kickball @ Two Rivers, Basketball @ Sayre Wednesday, November 21: Inflatable’s, cooking, crafts, and swimming.

Due to the Halloween Carnival the Community Center will close at 1pm on Saturday October 27th. All New REVAMPED Family-Friendly HALLOWEEN Extravaganza Saturday, October 27 4:00-9:00 p.m. Glenwood Springs Community Center 100 Wulfsohn Road Carnival Games ◆ Bounce House ◆ Inflatable Obstacle Courses ◆ Costume Contests Thriller Chiller Family Skate ◆ Creature Crafts ◆ Face Painting ◆ Spiderman Climb Plus many more activities for school age and younger children! Please remember that this is an all ages event, so costumes without blood and gore are appreciated! Admission Fee: $5 per child covers all of the activities Children under 3 years old are FREE! Adults are also FREE with paid child admission. Children must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian at all times during the evening’s festivities. Chili & Macaroni Dinner We’ve got you covered for dinner, too! Enjoy a delicious, home cooked meal for an additional $5 per person (ages 3 and above). Get there early! School Day Out Club Monday, September 24 Afternoon Road Trip to New Castle’s Grand River Park and U Pick Apples Orchard Creek Ranch. Registration ends Saturday, September 22 at 5pm We will begin our day decorating kites then head to New Castle’s Grand River Park to fly them, eat lunch and explore the park to discover the animals that call it home. Then head to Orchard Creek Ranch to learn about their apple orchard, pick apples and enjoy a cup of cider. We will end the day back at the Community Center with fun and games in the gym. Please wear solid toed shoes, bring a lunch, water bottle and snack. Don’t forget bug spray and booster seats for children under 8.
