Memorial Items

Purchase Information

Please contact the City of Glenwood Spring Parks & Recreation Department to purchase a memorial item or make a donation. Donations can be made in the form of Cash, Check or Credit Card. Checks can be made payable to the City of Glenwood Springs.  

All prices listed are samples and will be verified during the initial stages of the process.

Commemorative Tree 

Cost: $750
Includes:IMG_0415
-Cost of tree
-6" x 8" bronze plaque
-Site preparation and planting
-Maintenance (life of the tree)

Trees will be planted in Spring or Fall.

Glenwood Springs’ parks system is continually growing and trees are a great way to increase the beauty of our city and provide countless benefits to this community. Your tax-deductible contribution will be used to purchase trees to be planted in the parks system and personnel will care for the trees. Although we accept requests year-round, we encourage the planting of trees in the spring or fall to give the trees the best chance to survive. Through communication between Parks staff and the contributor, an approved species will be chosen based on the desired planting site. Your bronze plaque will be mounted in concrete at the base of the tree. Contributors are always welcome to attend the tree planting.

Delivery and installation takes a minimum of 10-12 weeks.

Your donation of a park bench helps to beautify the park, and provide a useful amenity that thousands of park users can enjoy and appreciate. The gift of a park bench is a unique way to remember a loved one or honor an individual. You have the option to purchase a bench to be placed at a new site or purchase a bench to replace an existing bench that may be reaching the end of its usefulness. Bench design and location may vary based on the needs of park. Some parks may not be available at all times.

Cost: varies by fountain type  $3,000 - $5,000
Includes:
-Cost of water fountain
-6" x 8" bronze plaque
-Site preparation and installation
-Maintenance (life of the fountain)

Delivery and installation takes a minimum of 10-12 weeks.

Your donation of a water fountain will help in future users (and their pets) of the parks experience.  You can work with City staff on the best location and type of fountain.
